Diorling for a Dior Miss

Hi there! So today I wanted to share with you a gift I've made for Martina :)But first...let me show you some of the "Diorling"'s history:
In 1963, Dior creates the Diorling, a pure frangrance imagined by Paul Vacher. We could describe Diorling as a chypre-leather but also as a real woodland smell. In the 60s, this perfume for women reveals an unexpected character for the time it had been created. Diorling is a mix of citrus oil and bergamot essences. Its heart unveils a floral bouquet of roses, violets and indian jasmine. An elegant path of wooded trail reveals notes of leather, oak moss and amber.

Black Friday

For millions of people Black Friday is the time to do some serious Christmas shopping -even before the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers are gone! Black Black is the Friday after Thanksgiving, and it's one of the major shopping days of the year in the United States -falling anywhere between November 23 and 29. While it's not recognized as an official US holiday, many employees have the day off -except those working in retail.
The term “Black Friday” was coined in the 1960s to mark the kickoff to the Christmas shopping season. “Black” refers to stores moving from the “red” to the “black,” back when accounting records were kept by hand, and red ink indicated a loss, and black a profit. Ever since the start of the modern Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, the Friday after Thanksgiving has been known as the unofficial start to a bustling holiday shopping season.
In the 1960's, police in Philadelphia griped about the congested streets, clogged with motorists and pedestrians, calling it “Black Friday.” In a non-retail sense, it also describes a financial crisis of 1869: a stock market catastrophe set off by gold spectators who tried and failed to corner the gold market, causing the market to collapse and stocks to plummet.

A Laguiole knife?

Laguiole knives have very particular caracteristics and are made in Laguiole, in France. Its a skill that goes from dad to son, that only real artisans know how to fabric.

First of all, Laguiole knives can have different material blades. The most popular spluses are damascus blades: layered worked steel and carbon that are superposed many times, heated at a high temperature, and every pattern is unique.
We can recognize any Laguiole knife by its symbol, on the top transition between the blade and the handle: the "bee" is Laguiole's symbol, but it changes according to customer's or the artisan's wish.
The little dots that are often made of iron on the sides of the handle, are aligned to make a cross. It was a tradition so that Christians  and Monks could pray whenever they wanted, by planting their knife in the ground.

Its finally June.

I came out with a great idea: we should throw a concept of "Fresh-Food Days". It consists of eating fresh and ecologic food day and night, everyday, until the weather gets bad again. You'll tell me its stupid, but it would encourage many people to eat healthy food, without having any frustration. I made a little statistic, and 86% of the people were for. You should try it!

Now here's a recipe that anyone can do. Plus, its totally in the concept of Fresh-Food Days. I think i'll create a #freshfooddays on Instagram!

My music

I think you need to get to know me better. So I decided to show you what kind of music do I listen to.
I'm not complicated, I can listen to Rock, Reggae, Techno, Dance, Pop...anything, but not Rap.
These days I listen to 4 songs I'm sure you know: Jubel - Klingalande
Changes - Faul ft. Wad Ad & Pnau, Rather be - Clean Bandit,
Stolen Dance - Milky Chance. My top favorite song is: 1973 - James Blunt.

That's a watercolour I did for Julia. She's a fashion lover with a perfect taste. Always beautifully dressed, I imagined her on the Louvre - Rivoli.

Yes, I just discovered it today. Bistro Burger Bar was a great time to spend a lunch with friends, a modern and cozy place to stay, and the food was good. In Croque Madame, the service is bad and the place is kitschy...  Better late than never!

I realised I was totally out-dated when I wanted to eat at "Bistro Burger" today, but when I stopped at the place, I saw
a "Croque Madame". Finally, I think the new Bistro is out-dated...

I've developped a certain interest for Guillaume Musso. For those who don't know...
Guillaume Musso is a french writer. His books are total thrillers. Tomorrow, 7 years later, Central Park, The Call of the Angel, The Girl of Paper... his books are within the world bestsellers.
When you start, you need to finish. When you think you know the whole story, your mind suddenly collapses in 0,01 seconds and you figure out that what you read was just the beginning.

Alice and Gabriel have no memories of their last night, therefore they're not ready to forget...

Already in the first pages of the book, you start asking yourself thousands of questions, near to the end, you think you know everything, but the thriller suddenly collapses and you're breath stops. I've never been that scared for the characters while reading a book.

She's his past...he's her future.

A strong plot. An improbable hypothesis that explodes in your mind at the 100th page. Everything debuts when Matthew walks along a second-hand market, and you, with him, wondering between Boston and NY. Then, a breath-taking car chase of 5 days makes you come back to reality in all of a sudden. A hard suspense story.

Often, I end up having a lot of work to do, late at night. And often, my brother doesn't, and starts asking me when the dinner's ready. This gets me on my nerves really fast. I try being still, but he wont stop. So we just end up shouting at each other until I do the dinner. The thing is, now I'll make him do it for me.

My brother: Aude! When are we eating? I'm hungry!
*My thoughts*: Don't panic. Keep calm. Don't throw him out of the window...

Me: Go make dinner yourself!

Me: Everything's OK?
Paul: ehh...yes! Yes, of course, come on who do you think I am?!
Me: You.

Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter... in 2014, our top followed celebrities are french bulldogs and basset hounds. Known for their comic looks, these two cuties are becoming more and more popular. Some of our French Bulldogs, as Manny the Frenchie, Sir Charles Barkley and Trotter are more popular on Instagram than many celebrities, with 478,578 followers and more.

Basset Hounds are movie stars, Tumblr kings: the most re blogged dogs are our lovely sad faces, who of course became popular thanks to Warner Bros. with "Droopy", and by playing royal dog roles in movies.
Instagram Kids, Tumblr Kings, they appear everywhere and become stars on social medias:

Pixar

Did you know...? That All Disney Pixar films have a secret "Easter-egg" - a sort of clue - that shows what the next film will be about? For example, in Ratatouille, when Remy climbs up to the roof, at the 2nd floor, you can see the shadow of the dog in "UP", which came out as to be the next film.
So, just for you, I spent my day looking for 3 hard ones.. Are you able to find more? Write in the comments below!

After seeing this, you'll want to watch all your old Disney movies all over again. Don't thank me.

I hate taking baths. For so many reasons. One of them, is that you loose 16% of your day in water, doing nothing. [...] but I love bath bubbles. You know these for sure: strawberry, berry, wild berry, vanila, apple, banana, liquorice, pear, apricot flavoured... my favourite is:

One of my numerous hobbies is travelling. I like adventures, sightseeing, discovering. Did Christopher Columbus know anything about America? Maybe stereotypes, vague ideas... [...] Nowadays we all think we know any country in the world thanks to internet. The thing is, we have no idea. To me, travelling is almost like going through a parallel world. I only traveled two times outside of Europe and it was fabulous.
Here's where I went outside of Europe:

Where I went outside of Europe.

Now thats another story. Last day, my Mom got that e-mail from a polish cook. It was an invitation for a workshop: "Cebula, szafran ...". We both love cooking, so it was an opportunity to have a lesson with Marta Gessler. [...] As we arrived, we saw pots and flowers everywhere. It was a flower workshop. Well, we haven't been dissapointed at all! It was really great:
"I want to teach you, how to observe flowers. I won't tell you anything,
because you'll find your own way."

[29.03.2014] Thank you very much for that workshop Mrs Marta!

[...] I love surprising people. It's just like cuting a cake without knowing what's inside, except that you do this for someone. [...] I'm not shy at all, at that party, I just took the camera and started taking pictures. I was within the atmosphere, spoke with everyone, asked them to pose, to dance, to drink. It's even better then being at a friend's party. [...] To thank them, I decided to make a little souvenir:

(...) 19.42, Xavier L. is in a big stress. He knows something's going on, but has no idea what.
And that gets him in such a bad mood. 19.33, Xav' prepares 24 bottles of Minuty, tosses and turns around
in the house. 20.02, the first guests arrivE. It gets full. It's been a week Mom has been coming late a night/2.
21.26, we're calling downstairs. Yes Dad, we made you a video. Everyone's here just for you...
Happy Bithday Daddy!

[...] now that's just a special dedication to Fanny :) ... en espérant que vous êtes bien allé sur ce blog, je voulais juste vous montrer ce dessin:

Mrs Kuhn gave us a website of a Swiss drawer. At the first peek, i loved it.

Our class has invited Fanny on the 19.03.14, we surely asked her too many questions...
but it was worth it!
- Can you dedicate it for me? ...Oh yes and add your e-mail please.
My name is Aude...and your blog's adress please!
[ For Aude Merci pour toutes ces questions! Fanny]

J'ai réussi a bien recopier votre dédicasse, non? Mille merci pour toutes ces inspirations!
[...] when I draw,  I don't really think about the outcome. You see, when i draw this way, i just try giving real expressions to my characters, even though they are drawn in the simplest way. [...] when you stay with a person for a long time, when you get to know that person, you can hear that person's voice in your head when you get a message from her. Well for me, I can express this by illustrating them. It just feels like i know their personality so well. [...] Here's a scene that actually happened last day:

Me, Meike.

[...] She decided to use her graphic talents to illustrate Warsaw. [...] I'm writing about her because she's the one who gave me a little boost to my inspiration. Just check out her blog, you'll heart it for sure: pilulespolonaises.blogspot.com [...] so as I said, I got really inspired by her and that's what I do every saturday morning:

This, is me.
